About the Program
The Lesley Ellis Afterschool Program provides children with a variety of interesting and challenging activities after the regular school day. Children share projects, games and other activities in a secure environment and at an unhurried pace. This helps to promote the continued development of positive self-esteem.
What We Do
Afterschool offers programs for early childhood, elementary and middle school age students which are designed to provide opportunities for exploration and enhance classroom learning.
In the Early Childhood Program, activities are centered around themes. Elementary and Middle School age students select an activity from one of two choices each day. In addition, there is a homework/quiet reading time, an opportunity to play outside and snack. Some of the activities offered in Elementary and Middle School include: ice skating, martial arts, indoor rock climbing, kayaking, and hip hop dancing. See LES K-7 Afterschool Brochure 2014-15 with course descriptions and registration under "Resources" at right.
The Afterschool Program begins at 3:15 p.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m.
