Spanish instruction at Lesley Ellis School starts in preschool and continues through sixth grade. In preschool, the language is introduced through age-appropriate materials, activities and themes. Spanish for prekindergarteners and transitional kindergarteners involves discovering new themes, songs and games. At the elementary level, Spanish is taught more frequently, and students are introduced to more complex grammar concepts, begin to read and write simple text and learn about Hispanic culture.
