This year, Lesley Ellis Summer Program will run from June 20- August 22, 2016. There is always something new and exciting happening at the Lesley Ellis Summer Program! We have lots of fun activities planned and can’t wait for it all to begin. Each week starts a new session with new adventures for young children and older students in these age groups:
Our summer program is designed around popular weekly themes. Each session has approximately 25 children and is led by experienced early childhood, elementary and middle school educators from Lesley Ellis School. Throughout the summer children are immersed in hands on explorations and experiences. Depending on specific weekly themes and age groups there may be field trips or special guests and visitors who are introduced as part of our programs.
Lesley Ellis School is on the move with an all-new Middle School Summer Program for students entering Grades 5-8. Our program features six weekly sessions throughout the months of June and August, two of which include overnight camping opportunities. Each session is designed around field trips to a wide variety of fun, exciting, historic and cultural destinations for kids in this age group.
Back by popular demand ... swimming lessons will be offered for children enrolled in our Junior Discoverers and Senior Explorers programs. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, children will have swimming lessons at the Arlington Boys and Girls Club.
Full day Summer Program hours are 8:00 - 4:00pm, with an option of Late Afternoon Fun from 4:00-5:30pm each day. This year, we will be offering a three, four or five day program option for Young Adventurers, Junior Discoverers and Senior Explorers, with a half day option available for Young Adventurers from 8:00-12:00pm.
A document with program descriptions and a registration form for Young Adventurers, Junior Discoverers, Senior Explorers and Trailblazers is located under "Additional Resources" on the left of this page.
We look forward to a wonderful summer session and hope you will join us for the fun. Please let us know if we can provide you with additional information or answer any questions.
