New Middle School Program

Lesley Ellis School opens its doors to the first sixth grade class this September and announces plans for a new seventh grade in 2014, with eighth grade immediately following in 2015.

The school’s plan to expand into the middle grades comes in direct response to parent and community requests for continuation of the innovative educational programming that Lesley Ellis has been known for since it was established over 60 years ago.

Over the last decade, Lesley Ellis has experienced a significant period of growth and transformation. In 2001, Lesley Ellis expanded to full-day Kindergarten, in 2002 fourth grade was added, 2004 fifth grade was added, 2006 the school introduced a Transitional Kindergarten classroom and this fall, the first sixth grade class will lead the way to an exciting new middle school program.
