The Right Fit
Deciding which school is right for a Lesley Ellis School graduate is ultimately a matter of finding the right fit. Finding the best fit for your child means feeling confident that he or she will thrive in a particular school community, that your family's values are compatible with a school's values, and that you feel comfortable being parents at a specific school. With so many options, it's quite likely there will be several schools that fit your family, and you will find many wonderful schools from which to choose.
The Process
The process of selecting a new school involves three phases: research, application and decision. At Lesley Ellis, our dedicated faculty and staff are available to assist families that are making these choices. We start by providing a written guide for families called What Happens Next? Then we recommend visiting school websites, requesting literature and talking with our Next Schools Coordinator, who helps parents through this transition.
Each spring we run a "Next Schools" event for parents in which former Lesley Ellis families and students participate. This forum allows parents and students to experience life after graduation through the eyes of former students who have successfully made the transition to middle school.
